Breakwater is a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria and
is about 67 kms southwest of VIC's capital city of
Melbourne. In the 2011 Australian census the
population of Breakwater was 1,058 when there
were 527 Females and 531 Males living there. The

Breakwater is a residential and industrial suburb of
Geelong, Victoria, Australia, located on the
Barwon River, 4 km south-south-east of the
Geelong central business district.
Breakwater is also home to the Geelong Racing
Club, Geelong Racecourse and the Geelong
Showgrounds.
