About Clump Point
Description
Clump Point is a low, 1.5 km long finger of rock,
reef and mangroves that forms the southern end
of Bingal Bay and the northern boundary of
Mission Beach. Lying to the north of the point are
the very low energy Clump Point Beach and the
longer Narragon Beach. Clump Point Beach (783)
lies on the north side of the point, tucked in
against the road. It faces north and is essentially a
narrow high tide beach, fronted by a 500 m wide
reef flat. There are a boat ramp and jetty off the tip
of Clump Point, that service the boats moored off
the end of the flats.
