Salter Point is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia and is about 7 kms south of WA's capital city of Perth. Salter Point is located in the City of South Perth local government area. Salter Point is a very small suburb on the Canning River. Most houses sit up on a hill, some overlooking the river, with a few down on the foreshore.
