Woodlands is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia and is about 8 kms northwest of WA's capital city of Perth. In the 2011 Australian census the population of Woodlands was 3,967 when there were 2,032 Females and 1,935 Males living there. Woodlands' Local Government Area is the City of Stirling and it is in the federal Division of Curtin. Woodlands is well serviced by parks and reserves. The most significant open space surrounds Jackadder Lake and provides a local recreation area. The neighbourhood retail area is called 'Woodlands Village' and is conveniently located in the centre of the suburb. Ribbon development along Scarborough Beach Road in the north of Woodlands forms part of the Stirling Regional Centre and supplements local shopping.
